ABSTRACT

In the modern world, as everything gets digitized cloud computing motivates healthcare centers to maintain their health records in digital format as it helps in fast reference and wise diagnosis. Though economical services such as cloud computing facilitate a large volume of data storage, preserving privacy becomes a tough task in some sectors such as healthcare as it involves sensitive data. While assuring on-time medical record service in healthcare, it is also required to ensure its privacy and security for encouraging users to adopt the cloud services. One of the emerging and efficient technologies which ensures privacy in Electronic Health Records (EHRs) is Blockchain. This chapter presents a study on a few obstacles which may occur during the adoption of blockchain in healthcare.
