ABSTRACT

Maize straw, rice straw, and soybean straw were modified with citric acid to prepare citric acid modified straw adsorbent and simulate adsorption of Congo red dye wastewater. The effect of adsorbent on the adsorption of Congo red dye wastewater under different conditions was studied. The results showed that the adsorption effect of the modified straw adsorbent was the most obvious under the acidic environment of 25°C temperature, 40mg/L initial concentration of Congo red, and pH between 2 and 6.
