ABSTRACT
This chapter draws on the eighty years’ combined experience of two radiographers. Both radiographers spent most of their working lives imaging patients in a teaching hospital emergency department. Divided into three chronological sections (before, during, and after the examination), this is a practical guide to person-centred care for radiographers in acute care settings. The anecdotes and personal accounts are drawn from the authors’ actual experiences in a busy metropolitan emergency department.
