ABSTRACT

Covalent cross-links based on sulfur and peroxide are commonly used to develop a network structure of rubber materials. This network structure ensures the mechanical stability and dynamic performance of the rubber materials. On the other hand, dynamic network formation in rubber is now becoming one of the interesting research areas. This can lead to smart properties of the rubber like self-healing, re-processability and extra toughness, long service life etc. In this present paper some examples of dynamic network will be presented and finally some approaches towards mathematical modeling approach will be discussed.
