ABSTRACT

Large Amplitude Oscillatory Shear (LAOS) technique has been applied to a set of two carbon black filled compounds, based on two solution SBR polymers, having identical molar mass and architecture, with and without chain-end functionalization. Stress-strain cycles areas and strain decomposition parameters are analyzed with two different protocols, i.e. Fourier Transform (FT) and Chebyshev decomposition, to show the effect of the functionalization on the filler-rubber dispersion/interaction. The differences in filler-rubber interaction are clearly unveiled with both FT and Chebyshev analysis.
