ABSTRACT

If the service life of the hollow slab is extended, the hinge joint is easy to break and fall off, thus affecting the operation safety and service life of the bridge. Through the comparison of the nondestructive testing methods of concrete, the ultrasonic method was selected as the hinge joint damage detection method. From the perspective of the possible failure characteristics and loading features of the hinge joint, an on-site operable reliability detection method of hinge joint connection of hollow slab based on the ultrasonic method was established, which would guide the actual engineering construction and the defect detection of existing hinge joints. In case of a further comprehensive improvement of the detection quality of the hinge joint, the detection cost would be saved.
