ABSTRACT

In the present external crisis, organizations have to maintain and adapt to the unforeseen threats that create unpredicted uncertainties and risk among their workflows and halt the productivity and viability from all aspects. However, with the current pandemic of COVID-19, organizations need to overcome challenges and therefore, find some sort of workable solution to overcome the unexpected challenges that arise in our daily operational activities. The aim of the present chapter is to explore and understand the roles of global and domestic leaders in order to maintain the sustainable development in the pandemic outbreak and also propose the new and emerging role(s) of the human resource management in the new normal as a strategic measure. In addition, the chapter proposed some new ways for further research studies in relation to tackle the unprecedented challenges of human resource management.
