ABSTRACT

Unprecedented advent of events is a major challenge because it hits hard when the world is least ready to retaliate. The year 2020 will be etched in the pages of history for being a harbinger of chaos and uncertainty owing to the COVID-19 outbreak worldwide. The pandemic has been a real testing time for not only the world economy facing real challenges to grapple for existence, it wreaked havoc on human emotions too and raised real questions on existentialism.

To elucidate some of the salient problems that the outbreak of the virus has had on employee communication in the workplace, this chapter sought to critically identify, diagnose, and offer a solution to the unexplored topic in the field of importance of communication of employees. To address the gap, the following chapter introduces the need for communication in a post-pandemic world and offers insight into factors of the importance of the same in the present time to engage the workforce into productivity.
