ABSTRACT

The global pandemic created due to Novel Coronavirus Covid-19 forced many companies to close down their offices and workplaces, and give the employees the option to work-from-home (WFH). In the WFH environment, the key driver was the use of tools and technology like Skype, Zoom, Google Meet, WebEx, and Microsoft Team. These tools and technologies helped the workforce to communicate and collaborate among themselves and also offer services to their clients. However, this was also a new experience for many employees who were also not well trained or mentally equipped for a sudden change in work orientation. This chapter will explore the various challenges faced by employees in different organizations, the strategies they employed to take care of the bottlenecks, and the feasibility of the different tools that were used for continuing the work in WFH mode.
