ABSTRACT

This research analyzes the needs felt of five women of breast cancer survivors in the city of Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico from a qualitative methodology with a narrative design and from a Reflective Communicational Support Group model. The women participating in the model and the research shared their main needs from the diagnosis, treatment and recovery of the disease. The main findings show family needs, individual needs such as attention and psychological support, needs to be themselves and that their decisions about each of the processes they experience with the passage and recovery of the disease are respected.
