ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on growing the telemedicine network in modern healthcare using IoT and smart sensors. This study appears to highlight how IoT can be used in implementing and maintaining a health monitoring system, detecting and preventing serious diseases, and making health facilities easily accessible to everyone. The life cycle of IoT-based telemedicine healthcare application, procedure chain, and disease prevention using smart techniques has been discussed in depth. The role of telemedicine and big data analysis in the COVID-19 pandemic is highlighted in this chapter along with some real-life applications. The IoT and modern healthcare background exhibit the improvement of technology in the health sector with continuous research and innovation. The primary objectives of this discussion are to portray the impacts of telemedicine in the continuation of advanced healthcare approaches and help individuals to become familiar with modern healthcare.
