ABSTRACT

The rapid development of information and communication technologies associated with the 4.0 revolution has contributed to their widespread use in the area of sustainability. Many research streams have addressed the issue of integrating ICT into sustainability. They propose diverse concepts in terms of the approach to the use of ICT in achieving sustainability goals according to the triple bottom line of sustainable development. Identifying the main research directions and organizing the existing world scientific output will allow to understand the ongoing changes in the use of ICT in sustainability.

The main research question in this chapter is to identify the main thematic areas in the use of ICT in sustainability research from the perspective of the triple bottom line of sustainable development. The chapter aims to create thematic clusters which will define the theoretical framework for the integration of ICT into sustainability. Bibliometric analysis will be used in this chapter.
