ABSTRACT

All industrial processes need to be intelligent and digitalized in the current era as per the demands of technological advancement. There is a rise in the industries for Industry 4.0, which consists of Smart Manufacturing, Industrial Internet, Internet of Things, and Cloud-based Manufacturing. Automation and the Internet of Things provide better efficiency and productivity. For this, Ultra High Frequency Radio Frequency Identification Technique is utilized to carry out a variety of industry functions, beginning with identifying, locating, authenticating, and interacting with other IoT devices. UHF RFID antennas are used at the endpoints in industries to enable automation. The RF performance of these antennas shouldn’t be compromised by their great endurance in the face of heat shocks and vibrations. As a result, a highly optimized antenna with increased radiation efficiency and a wide bandwidth is required. As a result, Dielectric Resonator Antenna emerged as a strong contender for all of these needs. In this communication, numerous DRA structures have been presented, and their performance for RFID applications has been examined in relation to the parameters of size, shape, substrate material, bandwidth, feeding method, and peak gain.
