ABSTRACT
Corn stigmas oral liquid (CSOL) was prepared with corn stigmas as the main raw materials and sea buckthorn, liquorices, and hawthorn as additional medicinal herbs. Based on single factors, the optimal formulation of the additive was determined by orthogonal tests. The storage conditions of the oral liquid were determined by stabilizer, high temperature, intense light test, and long-term stability test. The best formula of CSOL was 0.3% potassium sorbate, sodium isoascorbate 0.02%, ethyl maltol 0.02%, and stabilizer 0.2% (α-cyclodextrin: Xanthan Gum=1:1). The storage condition was to avoid high temperature and direct light, and the storage validity period was up to 21 months. The developed CSOL has scientific and reasonable variety and comparison of additives, moderate taste, and clear shelf life.
