ABSTRACT

Power grid hazardous wastes are mainly waste transformer oil and waste lead-acid batteries, which come generally from power grid companies. There have been great difficulties in the management of hazardous wastes in the power grid. Due to statistical calibration, ledger classification and other issues, there are many differences in basic data such as annual output of hazardous wastes in the power grid, and it is difficult to carry out specific work. This will also lead to greater difficulties in the follow-up work such as decommissioning of electrical equipment containing hazardous wastes, transfer and storage of hazardous wastes, and disposal of the wastes. Therefore, this paper proposes a provincial power grid hazardous waste generation forecast model based on the grey prediction theory, and predicts the monthly power grid hazardous waste generation in a province in eastern China in 2022. The forecast results can help the relevant departments of provincial power grid companies to improve planning of decommissioning of equipment in advance according to the production of hazardous wastes, thus facilitating the recycling and reuse of hazardous wastes.
