ABSTRACT

As a preparation technology of sub-micron and nanoscale fibers, electrospinning technology expands the functionality of fibers, and has many advantages, such as the wide source of raw materials, good tunability of fiber structure, strong expandability of preparation technology and strong combination of multiple technologies. In recent years, there have been many works on this technology and its rapid development has reached the pre-application level in the fields of energy production, conversion and storage devices. This chapter gives a detailed overview of recent advances in these advanced devices based on electrospun nanofibers, describes the design and fabrication of architectures for anode, cathode, electrolyte and separator nanofibers, and discusses their structure variables and device performances.
