ABSTRACT

To tackle the inadequacies of failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) in the risk assessment of Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) oil and gas handling system - the evaluation of risk factors, weight assignment problem and risk ranking problem. This paper proposes an improved FMEA method based on the intuitionistic fuzzy MULTIMOORA method. This method is based on intuitionistic fuzzy set theory and intuitionistic fuzzy priority weighted average (IFPWA) operator, and introduces the improved MULTIMOORA method to optimize risk ranking. The effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method is verified by applying it to the FPSO risk assessment scenario, and the superiority of the proposed method is demonstrated by comparing with the conventional FMEA.
