ABSTRACT

In order to study the vertical dynamic response of submerged floating tunnel(SFT) with the boundary conditions of arbitrary elastic supports at both ends under moving load problem, the middle anchor cables in submerged floating tunnel are regarded as the vertical springs in this paper, while the tube body is regarded as the beam supported on these discrete spring beam, the mechanical model and equation of the elastic support beam with any constraints at both ends is established. The method of solving the vibration frequency for SFT is given. The theoretical solution of dynamic response under moving load is derived by means of mode superposition method (MSM). A semi-analytical method for theoretical calculation of submerged floating tunnel is proposed by writing the corresponding MATLAB program. Combining with a typical example of the submerged floating tunnel with tether cables, which is analyzed by the proposed method, and the calculation results are compared with the finite element method to verify the correctness, accuracy and applicability of the method. It has great theoretical and academic value and practical engineering value.
