ABSTRACT

Corrosion is very much encountered in different types of industries because these factories use different types of metals and metal products and these metal products are found in aggressive environments. Thus corrosion can create problems in the industry due to the damage caused to the metals used. It can cause degradation of the metal raw materials used or fine metal products. It can also damage the enclosures, devices or installations (water pipes, electrical circuits, etc.) of the various factories.

In this section, we will show the different types of corrosion and degradation (Spike corrosion, Galvanic corrosion, Corrosion by concentration pile, Corrosion by differential aeration, Intergranular corrosion, Cavernous Corrosion, Corrosion erosion cavitation, Selective Corrosion, Stress corrosion, Fatigue-corrosion, Hydrogen embrittlement, Fretting corrosion, Bio-corrosion and Hot corrosion and corrosion by molten metals) and the different forms and types of corrosion inhibitors (Synthetic Inhibitors, Green Inhibitors, 0D Carbon Nanostructures inhibition effect, 1D Carbon Nanostructures inhibition effect and 2D Carbon Nanostructures inhibition effect). In this part also we will give the definitions of nanostructured allotropic carbon products and we will show their inhibitory effects on metals with different aggressive solutions. In the different paragraphs we will cite what has been done and what is being done now and possible research projects that use these nanostructured allotropic products.
