ABSTRACT

In this chapter, a brief introduction to the types, structures, and shapes of the carbon allotropes of all the forms is provided for a better understanding. For the past few hundred years, the element carbon has been employed as a source of energy; in the current technological period, carbon has played a substantial, marvelously prominent rolfiguree in nearly all sectors of science and technology. As a tribute to this wonderful element, we humans should be aware of its varying forms of presence. In this chapter, we will discuss all possible carbon allotropes, resemblances in their synthesis techniques, characterization, and property functionalization, their broad range of potential availability, and prospects and applications.
