ABSTRACT
Wireless communication has grown tremendously during the last two decades. Because of the complications arising from wired networks and their limited coverage, the industry of late favors this field immensely. As a result, there is a huge upsurge in the scale of wireless devices. Easy portability and absence of connecting wires enable them to be of immediate use for an ever-increasing number of consumers. Slowly, they have permeated into every area of our day-to-day activities. This chapter highlights the key aspects of wireless communications. In essence, this chapter attempts to give a brief appraisal of fundamentals and applications.
