ABSTRACT

IoT aims to construct a type of real-time information-sharing Internet of global things using radio frequency identification technology and wireless communication technology. Currently, with the development of artificial intelligence (AI), historical and real-time data can be analyzed and used to judge user habits more accurately and make more intelligent behaviors to improve the user experience. Against this background, the word “AIoT” has appeared frequently since 2017 and has become a primary development direction in the IoT. AIoT means “AI + IoT,” which refers to the integration of AI technology and IoT in practical applications, as shown in Figure 16.1. For example, smart homes allow people to automatically switch appliances on and off as desired and farmers can use the AIoT for analysis and automatic land management. According to a research report by “Markets and Markets,” the global AIoT market is expected to grow to $16.2 billion by 2024.
