ABSTRACT
Technological advancements have made the learning amicable for students through e-learning platforms, paving way for artificial intelligence (AI) to promote the engrossing learning environment among the teachers and learners. Besides, 21st-century education has been burgeoning with the nurturing of AI tools and techniques that necessitate the studies evaluating the upcoming challenges and visions in the education systems that could be expedited with AI. This chapter investigates the growth of artificial intelligence in education (AIEd) over a decade by analyzing the frameworks, systems, tools, and techniques that has been widely recognized in AIEd and also explores new avenues in teaching the English language. Further, the chapter discusses personalized tutoring and adaptive learning with AI to improve the language skills of the learners, eventually equipping the teachers to adapt AI tools in their classroom teaching to be on par with the current educational needs.
