ABSTRACT

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has considerably impacted students, especially in higher education areas and the pandemic has been the period of upheaval for college students and created a void in their academic, psychological and social life. The chapter addresses the psychological and social emotions of students in higher education are going through. The study has incorporated both primary data collection and focus group study to analyse the extent of feelings among these students. To strengthen the theoretical concepts and focus group discussion, questionnaire was made for primary data collection keeping in mind what kind of emotions/feelings students are going through during this online learning and for the same the 5-point Likert Scale was used to measure the intensity. Accordingly, statistical tools and tests were applied to draw the analysis and results of the study. The 222study concludes that during COVID-19, the only option of online education has been making students anxious, inducing low mood which something as a teacher or parent should reach out the student to alleviate mental problems.
