ABSTRACT

Transportation has always been an alluring field for researchers. Distinct models and techniques to solve transportation problems have been presented by several authors. Hitchcock instigated the notion of transportation. Brigden examined the transportation problem with mixed constraints. In a classical transportation problem, parameters examined by the researchers are specific in nature. Due to fluctuating market conditions and cost, supply and demand parameters are not constant. To cater this irregular market behavior, the concept of Pythagorean fuzzy numbers came into existence. In practical scenarios, the transportation problem not only deals with the minimization of transportation cost but it also deals with the minimization of time. It also takes account that a considerable amount of goods should be disbursed and commodities should reach the maximum number of people.
