ABSTRACT

To study the flow performance of the olive-shaped flowmeter (OSF), a prototype model of the flowmeter was made, and an airflow measurement experiment was carried out. The inner diameter of the pipe used in the experiment is 50 mm, the flow medium is air, and the flow range is 50-400 m3/h. Experimental results show that the OSF has stable performance under test flow conditions with an average outflow coefficient of 0.9743 and an average pressure loss rate of 0.32, which proves it has a good energy-saving effect. Besides, the fitting model of the outflow coefficient of the OSF is obtained by analyzing the experimental data. The fitting outflow coefficient and experimental value have a high degree of agreement with a relative error of less than 1%.
