ABSTRACT

Choosing the Ningbo Xidian Bay Subsea Tunnel project as a case study, nineteen risk factor coupling evaluation indices were obtained from five identified aspects: personnel, machinery and materials, management, technology, and environment. Then, via the construction of the EWM-DEMATEL coupling model, the weight of each safety risk factor and the coupling degree between all risk factors were obtained. The results indicated that priority should be given to the control of the coupling effect between personnel and management factors. The coupling effect between the factors of technology, machinery and materials, environment, and personnel should also be controlled to reduce the occurrence of construction safety risk-related accidents.
