ABSTRACT
The channel is an important transportation infrastructure and the foundation of water transportation, especially the high-level channel, which plays an important role in the development of shipping. China suffers from various natural disasters every year. This article counts the natural disasters suffered by channels above the third level of inland rivers in China from 1978 to 2020. There are a total of about 868 natural disasters, which are mainly divided into seven types. Through the statistics of the distribution of various natural disasters, the study puts forward the conclusion that the overall distribution of disasters is “heavy in the south and light in the north, and light in the east and west,” and the disasters that have suffered more are flood disasters and drought disasters.
