ABSTRACT

China has a vast territory and suffers many natural disasters every year. Among them, the natural disasters that are harmful to the inland channel are mainly flood disasters, drought disasters, typhoon disasters, strong wind disasters, rainstorm disasters, landslide disasters, and collapse disasters. This paper analyzes the time distribution of natural disasters that are harmful to the inland channel. In recent years, there is no obvious trend in the number of natural disasters, which is the result of the combined effect of natural disasters increasing damage to waterways and preventing and strengthening maintenance in advance. Every year from June to October is a period of the frequent occurrence of natural disasters, and inland channels are vulnerable to damage. Among them, flood disasters from June to September are likely to cause greater harm to the waterways. Drought disasters occur in stages throughout the year, mainly in autumn and winter, including drought disasters, spring drought disasters, continuous drought disasters in winter and spring, etc. Typhoon disasters generally occur from June to September, with an average duration of six days, rainstorm disasters may occur from January to September, with an average duration of 17 days. Landslide disasters, collapse disasters, and gale disasters have no obvious time distribution pattern and are unpredictable natural disasters. By analyzing the time evolution law of natural disasters that are harmful to the waterway, it is of great significance for early defence and timely restoration of navigation.
