ABSTRACT

The main canal of the South-to-North Water Diversion Mid-Route Phase I Project passes through a coal mined-out area in Yuzhou City, Henan Province. In order to ensure the safe operation of the main canal in the mining area, a unique deformation monitoring system was established to observe and analyze the deformation of the main canal during the construction period and the early operation period. The results show that the filling grouting and curtain grouting reinforcement treatment of the mined-out area canal section are effective, and the residual deformation of the site within the foundation treatment of the main canal section is small and stable, which is conducive to the safe operation of the main canal. This study provides a reliable technical basis for operating and managing the South-to-North Water Diversion Mid-Route Phase I Project in the mined-out area canal section and has reference value for the design, construction, and operation management of similar projects.
