ABSTRACT

The continuous compaction control technology based on the coupling effect of soil and the vibratory drum has been gradually applied to subgrade engineering in recent years to realize the comprehensive monitoring of the compaction quality of the working face. Granite residual soil is widely distributed in South China and is widely used as subgrade filler. In order to study the vibration response characteristics of the vibratory drum in the process of vibratory compaction for granite residual soil filler, field tests are carried out. The amplitude spectrum of the acceleration signal collected from the vibratory drum is obtained by FFT, and the influence laws of the number of rolling passes and dry density of filler on the vibration response characteristics are studied. The selection of continuous compaction measuring value and the applicability of the compaction degree evaluation model for granite residual soil filler is further discussed. The research results can provide technical references for the compaction state evaluation of granite residual soil filler.
