ABSTRACT

With the continuous development of underground space technology, the underground excavation space for transportation, hydropower, underground railway, and other projects is becoming larger. In underground tunnel construction, it is increasingly important to protect the health of construction personnel; ventilation is one of the main measures in tunnel construction. Tunnel construction in a high-altitude area differs from tunnel construction in a low-altitude area, including the application of construction ventilation technologies. Under the environment of low pressure and hypoxia, long excavation length, and poor construction conditions, construction ventilation technology has become a technical problem in high-altitude highway tunnel construction. In this paper, Fluent, a fluid calculation software, is used to carry out numerical simulation calculations of jet fan layout under different inclination angles of the roadway. Finally, the optimal layout angle of the jet fan and corresponding tunnel ventilation characteristics are obtained by analyzing the flow field under four working conditions. The calculation results show that the inclination angle of the jet fan has great influence on the wall layout at the branch tunnel intersection. When the jet fan is arranged at the intersection of the main and branch wind tunnels, its wind speed streamline is stable and electric conductivity is good. When the inclination angle of the jet fan is 0°, the flow diversion effect is the best.
