ABSTRACT
Red mud is a kind of strong alkaline solid waste that is inevitably generated in the aluminum production process of alumina enterprises due to the characteristics of the production process. According to the assessment, the total amount of red mud in the world has exceeded 3.5 billion tons, and a large amount of red mud cannot be processed in time, which will cause huge harm to soil, air, water resources, and the human body. For a long time, many researchers have developed several red mud treatment and utilization methods, which are applied in different fields. This paper will summarize and summarize the application status of red mud in the field of construction in my country from six specific preparation applications: preparation of cement materials, preparation of concrete materials, preparation of brick materials, preparation of roadbed materials, preparation of glass-ceramic materials, and preparation of ceramic materials. And analyze the existing problems, and provide the basis for the application of red mud in building materials in the future.
