ABSTRACT

In this paper, combined with the actual gas geological situation of 211112 large dip angle coal face in Xinji No. 2 mine, the gas source of large dip angle coal face is analyzed and judged. The proposed measures are based on the analysis of the impact of distant adjacent strata on the mining of large inclined coal seams, while not affecting the normal mining of the working face. They are used to adjust the number of boreholes in the roof strike of the working face, increase the diameter of the directional boreholes in the working face, and increase the drainage system capacity. A series of plans and measures, such as an advance shed at the end of the working face and strict management at the site, is implemented to prevent the gas overrun in the working face effectively and ensure safe and smooth mining of the working face.
