ABSTRACT
Abnormal seepage seriously affects the safety of dams and is one of the major causes of earth-rock dam failure, so it is essential to analyze the seepage flow situation. This paper takes the Hualiangting Reservoir as an example and analyses its seepage volume, seepage pressure head and other observations. The results indicate that its abnormal seepage is mainly caused by severe seepage around the left shoulder of the dam, and there may be seepage channels at the foot of the dam.
