ABSTRACT
This study aims to provide a demographic profile of Hyderabad. Various data sources are employed such as data from the Census of India, primary data collected in the field from a sample of 300 households, and also data from the internet, in addition to relying on an authentic text about Hyderabad for its profile during the early 20th century. The growth of Hyderabad is traced from 1901 to 2021. In addition, the study analyses the population composition in terms of religion, caste, and language. It also outlines the occupations, income, educations, durations of stay in the city, and in-migration of Hyderabad residents.
