ABSTRACT

Using the data of 275 prefecture-level cities from 2003 to 2019, the entropy method was used to analyze the temporal and spatial evolution characteristics of their green traffic development level, and the impact of economic development, spatial scale, innovation level and policy measures on the development level of urban green traffic was empirically tested. The results show that: (1) The development and evolution of green traffic in cities in different economic zones are quite different. Among them, the development level of green traffic in eastern cities is relatively high, followed by central cities, and relatively low in western cities; (2) The improvement of urban innovation and traffic management will help to improve the development of green traffic, the expansion of space scale is not conducive to the green development of urban traffic. Economic development has both a promoting effect and an inhibitory effect on the development level of urban green traffic.
