ABSTRACT

This research was carried out with the intention of drawing attention to the vital role that cyber security plays in the hotel business. This research identifies and evaluates various prevalent network dangers, and it suggests effective security policies and strategies that hotels may use to avoid cyber assaults. This research, which makes use of up-to-date, relevant data from the hospitality sector, offers a wealth of knowledge that the IT department may use to tighten up the hotel industry's already stringent regulations on the protection of electronic data. This study employs a novel blend of the qualitative and review research methods to learn about the fundamental problems that arise in the hospitality industry and the cutting-edge technical and practical answers that hotels have come up with to address these problems. The findings of this study suggest that the current measures hotels take to ward off cyber-attacks are, for the most part, inadequate and dated. The hospitality industry is exposed to cyber threats and attacks, but a survey shows that most hotel employees lack the knowledge to deal with them. At the conclusion of the study, various consequences and advices are presented to the decision-makers of hotels, with the goal of assisting in the prevention of security breaches affecting both the hotels and their visitors.
