ABSTRACT
Due to huge streaming content and large amount of work throughout all metropolitan cities, including tier two cities, Internet peak traffic increased by 40% in India, as did downloads and uploads per user. The largest wired Internet service provider in India, ACT Fibernet, conducted research titled as “State of Internet Traffic Trend” found that the average monthly uploads increased by 37% while average monthly downloads rose by 66% per subscriber. This study provides a brief overview analysis of internet traffic load and increase in various online content during the Covid 19 pandemic, as well as average data consumption per day. A survey clearly reveals that internet traffic load during pandemic was high.
