ABSTRACT

Identifying interdependence between the semester-wise performance of undergraduate students in the computer science stream of university pupils is very crucial to assist weak students. However, for any mathematical model to work efficiently we need to find out the statistical importance of various SGPA (Semester Grade Point Average) spread across all 8 semesters of undergraduate students. Regression is one method of statistics that can be used to find out semester Grade Point Average interdependence. Verifying the interdependence of a SGPA of various semesters on each other will act as the foundation for various mathematical models to predict the grades of students. In this research work, we have tried to investigate this interdependence using a regression for computer science undergraduate students at one university. Computer science students are further subdivided into various specializations.
