ABSTRACT

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a self configuring network and monitors conditions such as temperature and pressure in the physical environment and helps the sensors transfer the data through the sensor nodes to a sink. Deployment is one of the major challenges in WSN that has a demanding effect on coverage and connectivity of WSN. Sensor network has many characteristics amongst which the coverage is the most important. Coverage is defined to be a marker for effective monitoring of a network by sensors. We present deployment schemes which increase coverage in WSN. We also find the count of sensor nodes used in each scheme.
