ABSTRACT

The aim of our research was the analysis of dynamic changes of dam foundation displacement according to the periodic variation water level in the lake around the Enguri Arch Dam. Our database includes the information collected from 1974 to 2020. Dynamical changes of local seismic process from the beginning of the Enguri Arch Dam construction 1974–2020 were tested and analysed by modern several nonlinear methods. For clear data analysis, we choose several methods such as Multifractal Detrended Fluctuation Analysis (MFDFA) and (Lempel-Ziv) Complexity Measure (LZC) as for original also surrogate datasets. From the results of our research, we conclude that dynamic changes of dam foundation displacement are connected with the process of dam behaviour and especially affected by water level change in the reservoir behind the Enguri high dam. According to our results, we can see that the many influences assessment on quantifiable changes in the dynamics of local seismicity around the Enguri Arch Dam.
