ABSTRACT

This chapter investigates the problem of coordinate determination of objects located on space images only by orbital data. It investigates the characteristics of accuracy of coordinate binding of satellite images, which is realized with usage of proposed algorithms of inflight geometric calibration. Remote sensing is used in numerous fields, including geography, land surveying and most earth science disciplines. Rapid development and improvement of element base of opto-electronic equipment of SC of ERS promote the development technologies of Earth surface images CB which would provide the accuracy appropriate to the accuracy of special resolution of survey equipment. High accuracy of CB of images is feasible due to application of space platforms with high stability and improved accuracy of determining orientation of ERS satellite.
