ABSTRACT
In this chapter an architecture concept for Vehicular Network services is presented. A brief introduction to the concepts of Vehicular Networks (VNs) is given first, in order to understand the presented architecture requirements. Based on these system requirements the architecture concept which is described has been designed. The chapter explains both aspects of a VN service environment, the infrastructure part and the mobile ad hoc part, and gives examples of the service provisioning and service usage. Moreover, the security aspects of a Vehicular Network service architecture are explained.
