ABSTRACT

TriHyBus is an EU demonstration project led by UJV Rez. It is the only Czech and the first CEEC’s fuel cell bus project and hydrogen filling station. The project including the filling station is located in Neratovice—an industrial town in the Mid-Bohemian region. The project was implemented on the period between January 2008 and December 2009. The condition of the project sustainability was to keep the bus operation at least until the end of 2014. The hydrogen in the station is stored in a low-pressure tank. The amount is sufficient for a week operation of the bus. The compression station is located in a massive concrete container. The filling station is supplied with hydrogen by Linde Gas weekly, depending on the actual needs of the project. The station was designed with regard to possible future increase of its storage capacity and an increase in boost pressure to 70 MPa.
