ABSTRACT

The presence and importance of information technology and telematics, and in general of ICT in today’s society, has led to a significant change in methodological research processes in educational sciences in recent years. Both from perspective of theoretical research and from field work, it has become necessary to develop new models of educational research that allow to meet the needs generated by new pedagogical and didactic environments, increasingly widespread in the international sphere and influenced by impact of ICT. Therefore, ICT can greatly aid in educational research, create new methodological models, bring new social media closer to world of education, but must always be at the service of what is really necessary to know to improve the educational processes and, ultimately, evolution of our civilization. From the classical psychology of education, biology of education, philosophy of education, sociology of education, economics of education, history of education, theory of education, etc., up to those included in the field of didactics.
