ABSTRACT

Lifelong learning continues today, after several decades of international recognition and institutional support, a subject that is currently topical at all educational levels and areas. In fact, it is considered one of the main objectives of supranational agencies and of the various national educational administrations. From the organisms of EU has prioritized the learning throughout life, especially in decade of the 1990s of the 20th century, and in the first years of 21st century. One of fundamental documents of this period is the communication “Making a European area of lifelong learning a reality”, in which issue of employment was prioritized. The breadth of the concept would require more space than these pages offer, but a definition that synthesizes the essentials of the paradigm may be a good starting point: lifelong learning is a global way of understanding learning, principle on which the organization of structure and learning contents is based, and supposes a project that includes all possibilities of training.
