ABSTRACT
The importance of new technologies today is such that it is necessary to train students in these elements of such great impact and relevance in our society. Any educational process that pursues the training of active and critical citizens must now have an impact on teaching the correct use of ICT. In addition, analyzing the significant means giving personal freedom to each individual, which is an essential function in any democracy. Research in media education will began to extend from the Anglo-Saxon countries, from where it was conceptually and methodologically born, to the rest of Western educational systems, but a long way from the former. Media education plays a decisive role in the training of future citizens (in some way treated as a formative and/or cultural complement). This new perspective is so significant that it could even modify the very consideration of the nature of the educational curriculum.
