ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the salient points on the subject of knowledge that can be generated from the field of education and the methodological considerations that must be kept in mind in the search for this scientific ideal. Since the 1980s, the insertion of neoliberal philosophies into the field of education, advances in information technology, and the need for accountability has transformed the vision of knowledge for information. The new economy of information and information technology links information with its usefulness. Educational systems can make every effort to standardize the curriculum, teaching, and assessment methods, or the physical environment of the campus, but the individuality of the student emerges in their interpretation of the education they receive, in their ability to learn and in its rhythm of maturation.
