ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces the importance of deep learning based on the many core processor architecture, followed by an explanation on the mobile embedded neural network processor from theoretical basics to SoC examples, i.e. deep learning network, attention based item recognition, object recognition, the hot issues of virtual reality and augmented reality. Human being is the most intelligent in the world. Artificial intelligence (AI) is a mimic of human brain, a manmade intelligence. Nowadays, AI is still far less intelligent than human brain, only in very limited applications, such as object recognition, face recognition or cat recognition. Nowadays, AI applications can be found everywhere, i.e. eye recognition and auto driving. DNN features higher accurate than any other object classification. Most of the deep learning network research has been done by software engineers, with GPU or CPU hardware.
